Olga Vocal Ensemble - Touring 16-17

Hailing from the land of tulips, wooden shoes, and windmills, the Dutch vocal ensemble Olga creates pure musical joy from five distinct but harmonious voices. These men stand ready, with their red kettle mascot, to conquer every heart with their powerful and charming presentation.

Olga approaches old traditions in a fresh way. She combines enthusiasm, humor, and drama with genuine vocal clarity that enchants both young and old. Her repertoire covers more than five centuries, from Medieval Icelandic drinking songs to nostalgic hits from your old Philco radio. Classical repertoire from Strauss, Mendelssohn and Vaughan Williams are set against Bruno Mars and Edith Piaf in a beautiful fusion of sounds.

Olga was founded in 2012 at the Utrecht Conservatory in the Netherlands. With Dutch, Icelandic, and Russian singers, and music from many nationalities and genres, she is truly an international ensemble. She has performed countless concerts in the Netherlands and has been heard in France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the UK as well. Tours to wild and craggy Iceland have been a regular fixture on their calendar since the very beginning. In early 2015, Olga released her first recording which includes music from the Netherlands, Iceland, Russia, Scotland, and America.
