Alex de Grassi - Touring 10-11-12

Often cited as one of the world’s top finger-style, steel-string acoustic guitarists, GRAMMY® nominee Alex de Grassi brings a unique voice to the art of acoustic guitar with his evocative compositions and arrangements, a highly-orchestrated sound, and sheer virtuosity. His playing weaves together melody, counter-melody, bass, harmony, rhythm, and cross-rhythms creating a canvas of sound unheard in solo guitar performance. Using a broad palette of techniques and timbre, and driven by a unique sense of composition, his rich performances take the listener beyond the instrument. The set list will often include a wide spectrum of music ranging from original compositions and Americana standards to transcriptions of well known popular songs such as Jimi Hendrix’s “Angel” and Led Zepplin’s “Stairway to Heaven”.
